If you’ve decided your website is no longer needed, we’ll help you retire it in a way that’s straightforward and well-documented. Our goal is to make sure you have everything you need before the site goes offline.
This page explains what will happen, the key dates, and the single step you’ll take to begin.
There are no complicated forms to fill out. Here is the simple, four-step process for retiring your site.
Send Us a Confirmation Email
To start, simply email support@liaa.org from your organization’s primary contact address.
• Subject: Website Retirement Request
• Body: Include your website URL (e.g., www.yourdomain.org).
Request a Final Data Backup (Optional)
If you’d like a final archive of your site’s files, images, and documents for your records, mention it in your confirmation email. We’ll package everything and provide a secure download link at no cost.
Website Deactivation on October 1, 2025
Unless you request an earlier date, your website will stay online through September 30, 2025. On October 1, it will be taken offline and no longer visible to the public.
Final Data Deletion
To free up server resources, all site data will be permanently deleted 30 days after deactivation. Please be sure to request and download any backups before October 31, 2025.
You can reverse this decision at any time before the final platform shutdown on March 31, 2026. To reactivate your site, you’ll need to complete our Migration Request Form and choose either a rebuild with us or a migration to a new developer.
Please note: Restoring a site after October 1 may take several business days.
If you have any questions about retiring your website, please email us at support@liaa.org. We’ll be happy to guide you through the process.
